Ik presenteert met deze beelden van de strand in Foz do Arelho (gemaken in Augustus 2007) een huis om te verhuren in Sao Gregorio voor uw volgende vakantie in de West Regio van Portugal. Hopen dat dit electronische brief gaat ''consumers'' vinden - Contacten Madelon en Robert - JPFG 2009

Het dorp van São Gregório

Vanuit de verte oogt het als een typisch dorpje in de Alentejo. Van dichtbij, lijkt het een speelgoeddorpje, met de huisjes knus tegen elkaar genesteld.

De huizen in São Gregório bieden nu een gezellig plekje om enkele dagen door te brengen. Ieder huis is vernoemd naar de voormalige eigenaar of naar het ambacht dat hier werd uitgeoefend. Casa do Zé, Casa do Forno (huis van de oven) of Casa da Padaria (huis van de bakker) geven u het gevoel in een dorp te wonen. Alles is heel klein maar dat is juist de charme. De bekoorlijkheid is ook te vinden in de kleine kapel, de nabij gelegen Serra da Ossa en de uitgestrekte wijngaarden die het landschap bepalen.

Het is een ideale plek voor een uitstapje. Pak de fiets en rijd naar het naburige dorpje Rio de Moinhos om de ambachtelijke kaas te proeven. Geniet van de honing, de olijfolie en het lamsvlees die een speciale plaats innemen in de plaatselijke keuken en drink hierbij een Vinho de Borba, die verbouwd wordt in de omliggende wijngaarden.

U kunt nog verder reizen. Estremoz, Vila Viçosa, Redondo en Alandroal zijn historische plekjes die zeker een bezoek waard zijn.

''CASA DAS PEDRAS'' - ROBERT & MADELON

is a modern property consisting in 2 attached villas built on a 3700m²
plot set on a hillside with beautiful view on the countryside.

Villa nº 1 (180m2 - left side) - The lounge/dining area is well furnished and has TV, stereo installation,
video, ecological fire and the French doors are leading to a covered terrace, the country-style keuken
is equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, French door leading to a small terrace.
2 slaapkamers of which 2 double slaapkamers with en-suite badkamer and 1 twin slaapkamer
with ensuite badkamer. This villa is for rent during the all year.

Villa nº 2 (270m2 - right side) - The lounge/dining area is comfortable and well furnished and has TV,
stereo installation, video, ecological fire, open fire and the French doors are leading to a large covered terrace.
The spacious keuken is equipped with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dryer.
Two double rooms with en-suite badkamer. The first floor, a mezzanine, is an office/slaapkamer with
a one-person bed + a one-person slide under bed, small badkamer.
The French doors are leading to an open terrace. This villa is for rent only in July and August.

Covered barbecue with breadoven at the back of the villas.
Lawn and large zwembad (10m x 5m) in front of the villas.
Barbecue and zwembad are to be shared between the 2 villas during July and August.
During the other months the use of the zwembad is exclusive for villa nº1.
Change-over cleaning service with weekly linnen change.

Casa Branca is located at the Serra do Bouro, approximatively 3 km from the beach of Foz do Arelho,
6 km from Caldas da Rainha, 10 km from the bay of San Martinho do Porto and the medieval city of Obidos,
80 km from Lisbon, 15 km from the Pray del Rey golf.
Small shops and restaurants in Foz do Arelho. Supermarkets, restaurants,
cinema, … in the thermal town of Caldas da Rainha.

How to get there from Lisbon airport : take the highway A8 direction Torres Vedras/Porto
and get out at Caldas da Rainha centre/Foz do Arelho and turn left direction Foz do Arelho.
How to get there coming from the north by car : take the highway A1 direction Lisbon, get out at Leiria
and take the A8 and get out at Tornada/Caldas da Rainha. Arriving at Caldas da Rainha,
take the direction of Foz do Arelho.

Going through the village of Foz do Arelho, you will arrive at a rondabout (in front of you, the lagoon),
take right direction Salir de Porto/San Martinho do Porto (the road is going up and follows the sea),
go straight at the following roundabout (discoteca Green Hill right side), arriving at a small café
"O Talefe", take the first road at the right, going down to a few houses, there take right and follow
the road, you will see the house.
But, we can always pick you up at the Foz do Arelho beach to make it easy.

Payment by bank transfert -25 % deposit at booking - balance one month before arrival.

A breakage deposit of 200 Euros cash will be asked on arrival.
